Circle strafe

circle strafe

I hate when rogues circle+strafe me like an idiot.

circle strafe

I know it takes practice, but please help. I watched some videos, read about keybinds but still suck at it. I know this is a noob question, but I'd really appreciate if someone help me out. Will pressing both mouse buttons and A or D help to circle strafe and keep hitting enemies? Because I really need that stupid middle finger.

CIRCLE STRAFE HOW TO

I figure it out right click+A or D but how to keep moving and pressing buttons/spells at same time? Sometimes I need to use middle finger that I use for W but then I stop moving or just get lost. When I practice on dummy its not so hard, but when I do BG, I get lost. I know I must learn to keybind everything but I'm having some problems. I started to do some PvP, but I am ashamed to admit, I am a clicker. I've been playing WoW for few years but I played only PvE content. Look at Geometry Wars for a recent (slightly different) example - the mouse/keyboard controls are very intuitive and natural.Hi all. There are quite a few top-down games that use this method, and I think it works really well. This means that you can gain plenty of movement freedom by feathering or tapping the keys, just like how it currently works. It would apply a relevant force that would thrust you toward the left. Inertia and friction would still come into play, so pressing 'A' wouldn't just suddenly shunt you left while cutting all other movement. Keep in mind that it makes no difference whether 'W' moves you forward, left, diagonal or inside-out, you've still only got four keys to pilot with. It's really no more limiting than any other method. What would be different though is that while in Strafe mode, pressing 'A' will ALWAYS add a thrust toward the left of screen. So yes, pressing 'A' when facing to the left would move towards the left of screen instead if it being dependent on your facing - no different to if you're facing the top of screen and press 'W'. Keeping in mind that the player already associates their relative facing vector with the mouse cursor, so there's room for the keys to be absolute. I'm not sure about everyone else, but it feels more natural to me. When it's facing down, it would move to its right, toward the left of the screen. This would mean that if you pressed 'A' while holding shift, the ship would move toward the left of the screen, rather than the left of the ship. Instead, the ship controls could switch to directional. It's not a huge deal breaker, but it does take a while to get used to, and feels a little unintuitive. When it's facing down, it's backwards (sliding to the right). Just a small suggestion regarding strafe mode for the ships: Would it be possible to, when shift is held, have the ship move absolutely, rather than relative to itself?Ĭurrently, when you're in strafe mode, and you press 'A', your ship slides to its left.
